Frequently asked questions

The essentials about the band, their music, their crew and how much of the voyage is fiction.

Who is Panzé-Chan?

Panzé-Chan is an electronic and rap duo made up of 3DH (writer, performer, mixing) and BMS (composer, performer). The group blends electronic, rap and experimental music, and builds a science-fiction universe around a crew of primates on an interstellar voyage.

Is the voyage to Proxima b real?

No. The Panzé-Space, its primate crew and the voyage to Proxima Centauri b are fiction: they are the narrative thread of the band's artistic universe. The countdown and position shown on the site are computed from that imaginary timeline. Proxima Centauri b itself, however, is a real exoplanet, roughly 4.24 light-years from Earth.

Where can I listen to Panzé-Chan?

The album “La Fin des Temps”, released on 31 December 2025, is available on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal and SoundCloud. Bandcamp is where the album can be bought directly.

Who makes up the Panzé-Space crew?

Alongside 3DH and BMS, seven fictional characters each hold a post on board: OKI (artificial intelligence and communications), VEX (navigation), KAL (medicine and cryogenics), RYX (life-support systems), ZON (IT and cybersecurity), MBE (security) and TSA (logistics).

When does the ship reach Proxima b?

In the project's timeline, the Panzé-Space left Earth orbit on 1 January 2026 and is due to reach Proxima Centauri b on 5 November 2029, after a 4.24 light-year journey. The trip takes 1,404 days as seen from Earth, but only 1,017 for the crew: at these speeds, time no longer passes at the same rate on both sides. The site continuously shows the time remaining, the distance covered and the ship's position.
